Corrections

Every change to a published figure or reading is logged here with its date, what changed and why. Pages are dated snapshots, so earlier versions stay identifiable.

How a correction is recorded. Subsequent changes to figures, interpretations or methods will state the date, the previous reading, the replacement and the reason. An unresolved question remains unresolved until supporting evidence is reviewed.

The log

Changes, newest first

  1. Land evidence added

The new land page adds six reopened public sources on rights, holdings, farm concentration, documentation and inclusion. It distinguishes dated observations from present-day unknowns, discloses the farm table's conflicting total and keeps crop-area arithmetic separate from available land. The national foreign-held share and current legal completeness remain unestablished here. Target paces and proposed bands are unchanged.

  2. Authorship and research questions

The lead description changed from a company executive role to independent researcher and developer, with CopperCloud listed under other work and affiliations. The research questions now describe what we would need to check to strengthen each comparison. Figures, source status and calculations are unchanged.

  3. First public edition

Initial public release of the evidence snapshot dated 9 October 2026. Pre-release editorial review narrowed unsupported wording, added visible verification notes, removed unfinished sections and excluded unverified private cost inputs. It did not mark any additional source as reverified.

Outstanding

What would need to be checked

  • Maize

To reconcile the maize comparison (C1–C2), we would need to check whether grain and seed figures overlap, align irrigation-area definitions and distinguish the crop forecast used here from the final harvest.

  • Electricity

To compare electricity figures on the same basis (E1–E4), we would need to reconcile regulator and Ministry dates, definitions and plant coverage. Assessing dependable supply would also need evidence beyond installed capacity.

  • Tourism

To establish a consistent tourism baseline (L3–L4), we would need to check the reported 2025 ministerial figure against a statistical publication, reconcile the speech's higher starting figure and establish current accommodation and air-seat capacity.

  • Copper

To strengthen the copper comparison (K1–K4), we would need to corroborate the government-origin baseline, reconcile historical data vintages and check project schedules and electricity-use definitions. Announced output remains a plan rather than an achieved result.

  • Soya beans

To describe current soya production (C3), we would need to obtain the latest official harvest figure and reconcile reporting years. The scenarios here use older record and drought harvests.

  • Wheat

To firm up the wheat baseline (C4), we would need to confirm the press-reported forecast and irrigated share against official evidence. Historical observations and forecasts remain separate scenarios.

  • Sugar

To assess the national sugar target (C5), we would need to establish national production and current mill capacity. One company's historical capacity is insufficient for a national comparison, so the target remains not assessable here.

  • Beef exports

To assess the beef-export target (L1–L2), we would need to reconcile reporting years, product coverage and the recent estimate's currency conversion, then examine market access and export capacity. Herd growth alone does not establish export earnings; the target remains not assessable here.
